Man Narrowly Escapes with His Life After FTQ Scandal

Former FTQ union boss, turned informant, Ken Pereira
A former union boss of the Quebec Federation of Labour (FTQ), Ken Pereira, narrowly escaped with his life after being threatened by the Hell's Angels and Montreal Mafia.

Pereira was forced by the Mafia to help rig an election for the FTQ, with the help of the Hell's Angels who circled the polling station until the other candidate dropped out.

After coming across evidence regarding the misuse of company funds, Ken was offered $300,000 dollars by the top members of the FTQ, who are upper echelon members of the Montreal Mafia.

He was later notified by the police the Hell's Angels and the Mafia were planning to kill him, based off of intelligence gathered by wire taps, Ken then became a police informant and has now testified against these organizations in court.

The trial is awaiting a verdict.
